Acceptable Use Policy
1. Introduction This Acceptable Use Policy explains the standards that apply to use of the Hermetic Arts platform. Hermetic Arts, also referred to as Hermetic Arts, is a curated platform intended to support creative professionals, client interaction, and related business and operational features in a structured and professional environment. This policy applies to visitors, registered users, clients, practitioners, and any other person using the platform or interacting with its systems, content, services, or communications tools. Unless otherwise stated in a specific document or workflow, the platform is operated by IAF Tech Development. The Hermetic Arts brand and certain associated intellectual property are owned by IAF Design. 2. Purpose of This Policy The purpose of this policy is to help protect: the integrity and security of the platform the experience of users the rights of practitioners, clients, staff, and administrators the platform's systems, data, brand, and intellectual property the professional and curated nature of Hermetic Arts This policy should be read together with the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Notice, Cookie Notice, and any role-specific agreements that apply. 3. Permitted Use You may use the platform only for lawful, honest, and appropriate purposes connected with its intended use. Permitted use may include: browsing the public platform viewing approved public profiles or platform content creating and managing an account where available discovering practitioners or services where enabled communicating through authorised platform features using role-based tools or dashboards where you have been granted permission taking part in lawful platform activity consistent with the role and permissions assigned to you 4. Prohibited Conduct You must not use the platform in any way that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, misleading, or inconsistent with the professional standards of the platform. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to: 4.1 Security and access abuse You must not: attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, database, admin area, or restricted feature bypass or interfere with authentication, access controls, or security protections test, probe, scan, exploit, or attack the platform without express written authorisation upload or distribute malware, malicious code, harmful scripts, or disruptive technologies 4.2 Scraping, copying, and platform misuse You must not: scrape, harvest, crawl, extract, or collect platform data through automated or unauthorised means copy, mirror, reproduce, frame, clone, or imitate the platform, its structure, workflows, or protected materials without permission reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, system logic, or protected operational processes except where expressly permitted by law use platform content, branding, or data in a way that misrepresents association, endorsement, or ownership 4.3 Abuse of users or communications You must not: harass, threaten, intimidate, abuse, or target other users engage in hate, discrimination, or unlawful harmful conduct impersonate any person or organisation send spam, deceptive messages, or unwanted mass communications misuse enquiry, messaging, or contact routes 4.4 Fraud, deception, and dishonesty You must not: provide false or misleading identity or profile information make deceptive claims about services, qualifications, opportunities, or affiliations use the platform for scams, fraudulent transactions, or misleading commercial conduct manipulate bookings, payments, or operational systems dishonestly 4.5 Intellectual property and rights infringement You must not: upload or use material that infringes copyright, trade mark, confidentiality, privacy, or other rights copy or use Hermetic Arts materials, code, layout, branding, or protected content outside permitted use submit complaints or takedown claims dishonestly or in bad faith 4.6 Operational abuse You must not: interfere with the proper operation of the platform misuse moderation, admin, reporting, booking, payout, or other platform tools create undue burden on the service through automated or improper activity attempt to damage the reputation, trust, integrity, or operational stability of Hermetic Arts 5. User Responsibility You are responsible for your own conduct and for activity carried out through your account where relevant, unless caused by a matter outside your responsibility. If you use the platform on behalf of a business, organisation, or team, you are responsible for ensuring that your use is authorised and consistent with applicable rules. 6. Enforcement Hermetic Arts may take action where reasonably necessary in response to breach or suspected breach of this policy. Action may include: content removal warnings account restrictions temporary suspension permanent termination feature-specific blocks investigation reporting to relevant parties or authorities where appropriate legal action where justified We may also preserve records relevant to security, compliance, legal rights, complaints, or investigations. 7. Relationship to Other Documents This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the wider legal and policy framework for the platform. It should be read together with: Terms & Conditions Privacy Notice Cookie Notice role-specific agreements where applicable Where there is overlap, the relevant document may apply alongside this policy rather than instead of it. 8. Changes to This Policy We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Where appropriate, updated versions may be published through the website, app, or role-based legal areas, and further acknowledgement may be requested where necessary.
